there is always a backstory

I was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. Yes, land of the pyramids, but also much more than that. When I moved to Toronto for university, I was asked time and again Where are you from?

I said Egypt.

And you came all the way?

Omg, have you seen the Pyramids?

Have you ever been to the pyramids?

I knew there is so much more to Egypt than its ancient history. I embarked on a journey to explore and rediscover some of the most iconic as well as hidden treasures of the historic periods to follow.
