Challenge
TT4B used newsletters and a small set of automated messages to nurture SMB leads and engage those who registered for Ads Manager.
Engagement was lower than the 10% CTOR the team expected. Leads tended to drop off after the second awareness email, and monthly newsletters bore the responsibility of avoiding churn.
Goals
We needed to drive quality SMB leads to register and get registered SMB leads to turn up the volume on their TikTok advertising efforts.
Increase the # of Ads Manager registrations
Increase # of cash actives (registered users with spend >$0)
Reduce churn (users who had previously spent, but dropped off in the past 30 days)
Opportunity
We had the chance to design an experience that reflected what TikTok did best by tapping into what interested our SMB audience and served it to them in a way that resonated, inspired, and compelled them to engage. We designed a simple email design system with a refreshed look while making sure it is accessible.
